At last I’m posting again. Why do I meet a brick wall when thinking about being here? I usually put it off because I can’t think straight but I’m going to just tell it like it is. Here is ‘Fosser’ a small tapestry depicting a half naked woman with a spade. And why not? The spade is a Sanquhar mining spade from their museum. She wears a blindfold. All very ambiguous. I want you the viewer to make the story up yourself. Enjoy. New show starts on the 28th March at Mclaurin Gallery, Ayr. This is Visual Arts Scotland exhibition and my tapestry ‘Auld Stones And Thin Places’ will be there alongside other visual artists work. This piece was inspired by the chambered cairn called Cairn Holy near my home in Scotland’ s south west. The pillars stand strong holding the weight above telling the story of the people who came before us.
