I am pleased to say that I am in this show #peebles museum and gallery. Celebrating 15 yrs of an award I got a couple of years ago to further my career in weaving tapestries. It was a great opportunity to work with #fionahutchisontapestry and these pieces are part of that time.I have included close ups of ‘The Bridge’ and also the painting of this tapestry which I use to guide myself when creating my tapestries. Also included is ‘Water1’ which has the diagonal markings found in my local sandstone. And ‘Line Corridor’ my depictions of landscape ecology I see as I move around where I live in Dumfries and Galloway. It will be lovely to see these 3 up together in the exhibition hope you can see them too. Opens on Saturday the 27th July check out the poster on the first photo. Tapestry I feel takes the painting and turns it into something more turns it into something tangible I 💙#tapestry #peeblesshire #peeblesloveslocal #vacmascotland #liveborders #livebordersmuseumandgalleries #tapestryweaving ... Thank you British Tapestry Group. If you’re into tapestries have a look at their website ❤️‘Jesse’ is in @societyscottishartists exhibition called ‘treasures’. A bit different for me this tapestry and a very fine piece however I’m looking forward to doing some more of the same. The show is in @gairlochmuseum and starts on the 6th July. They were so kind and phoned me to tell me my work had arrived - very chuffed with that personal touch thank you. This venue is unusual in that it was a former nuclear bomb proof bunker amongst other things. I am looking forward to seeing the show and the building #gairlochmuseum #societyofscottishartists #tapestry #tapestryweaving #shepaintswithyarn #britishtapestrygroup #uplandcic ... See MoreSee Less

‘Stream Corridor’, is in @dagfas20 summer exhibition @gracefield_art_centre now until 10th August. My photos show the process of weaving on my scaffold loom. I wove her on her side but have framed her vertical. It really is up to the person how you want to view my work. I have included my painting too that I wove from without a template.
