And you can see the wonderful ‘treasures’ exhibition by the SSA ❤️We are delighted to be taking part again in this year's Doors Open Day Festival 🥳 Doors Open Days is Scotland’s largest free festival that celebrates places and stories, new and old. You can explore hundreds of fascinating buildings across Scotland for free. The Museum's "Doors Open Day" will be on Saturday 7th September and on the day, as well as admission being waived, you could book on to one of our Behind the Scenes Tours with Rachael Thomas. The tours will take in the Museum store, giving you a peak behind the scenes at some of the objects that are not currently on display. As well as hearing about the stories behind these objects, you will learn more about how we care for documents, textiles and objects in the Collection. The tours will take place through the day at 10.15am, 11.30am, 2pm and 3.30pm but spaces are limited so please get in touch to book your place.Am Bàrd our Museum cafe is usually closed on a Saturday but will be open on the 7th.
